Lives and works in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Maria Silvia Corcuera studied Literature and Art History at the UBA.She trained in workshop of Kenneth Kemble y Victor Chab . She has exhibited his work in numerous solo shows as "Juguetes, PEINETONES, Escudos, Ciudades, Memorias de una Extraviada Global". She participated in "Geometría sin Límites", an exhibition from the Jean and C. Cherqui Collection, in Maison L. Amerique Latine, Paris, France. Among her major awards highlights the Trabucco ANBA award. She was chosen for the research project "Intersection of Art, Science and Tecnology", Carnicero-Fornari Architect, Architecture and Urbanism UBA. Selected for the XIII Florence Biennale 2021. In 2020, she is elected the best artist in Latin America and the Caribbean by Ivy Plus Libraries Confederation. Invited to participate in the sixth edition of the exhibition "Estructuras Personales" of the European Cultural Center - Venice 2022. Her works are part of museums and private collections; also from the University of William & Mary (Virginia, USA). Her work and evolution is followed by doctor Regina Root from William & Mary University, Virginia, USA, under the title "Couture and Consensus: Fashion and Politics in Post Colonial Argentina", 2012.
